On thursday march 7th, following the two informal meetings held on February 26th and March 1st, the revision 1 of our resolution has been published into the Journal of the "United Nations".

​Following up on the first meeting, where the details of Res A67.L56 were presented, many feebacks were received from member states, mainly on the writing of the document, and ways to have it as close as possible to the UN standard "agreed language".

First informal meeting on resolution A.67.L.56

On tuesday 26th february from 10am to noon, the first informal meeting on resolution A.67.L.56. This meeting was organized by one of our primary sponsors, H.E Collin Beck, ambassador of Solomon Islands. The room proved too small and many had to stand-up or sit on the floor, clearly indicating the interest of the UN community on such a short notice.

Febuary 7th 2013 will someday be written down in History books as the day on which, courageous independent Pacific countries, small by size, but huge by heart and resilience, helped introduce Resolution LR56, asking for the relisting of Ma'ohi Nui / French Polynesia on the UN list of non self governing territories.

Oscar TEMARU takes the floor at NAM COB meeting

This wednesday january 16th 2013, at 11h15, Oscar Manutahi TEMARU, President of French polynesia/Maohi nui was asked to deliver a statement regarding our case before the COB (Coordinating Bureau) of the NAM (Non Aligned Movement).

More than 120 members and observers were present and received a copy of that speech that they shall convey to their capital.

Most NAM countries are themselves old colonies who regained their freedom. Many of them approached Oscar TEMARU after his speech to congratulate him and assure the Ma'ohi People of their full support towards our reinscription.
